  Richard Fidler

  Richard Fidler is a broadcaster who has had several lives as a musician, writer and performer. He currently hosts the very popular Conversations with Richard Fidler on ABC Radio in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Hobart and Perth. This unique format allows Richard to talk at length with a single guest for an hour and follow that person’s life story.

  Richard has interviewed prime ministers, former CIA agents, ex-prisoners, astronauts, comedians, carers, and Antarctic explorers. Many of his guests are famous names, but most of them are people you’ve never heard of, who have seen and done extraordinary things and that may be on a space shuttle, at the bottom of the ocean or within their own neighbourhood.

  In another life Richard was a member of comedy group The Doug Anthony Allstars (DAAS), which played to audiences all over the world.

  Since then Richard has presented a very wide range of TV shows, from Race Around the World, to Aftershock, a series on technology and the future.
